Monique is Principal Researcher for Tooley Street Research. She has been a research practitioner for 20 years and is highly skilled in qualitative, quantitative and deliberative research methods. She has worked with a wide variety of audiences, including hard-to-reach groups, and has extensive experience of research for government departments, regulators and third sector organisations.
Her specialist policy areas are welfare to work, media literacy, vulnerable consumers and financial inclusion. Monique founded her own consultancy, Collaborate Research, in September 2012 and since then her client list has included the BBC, General Optical Council, Ofcom, Ofgem, SMF and Which?
Previously, Monique was a Research Director of Jigsaw Research where she led a major programme of ongoing research into the DWP’s welfare reforms, Universal Credit. Before that, she was a Research Director with Opinion Leader where she helped to pioneer the development of deliberative methods and specialised in research to inform policy and regulatory decisions related to the communications, financial services and energy sectors. In addition, Monique has worked at a senior level for large international research agencies, including TNS and Research International. Monique has a Bachelor of Economics degree with First Class Honours (in Political Science) from the University of Sydney. She is a member of the MRS, AQR and Independent Consultants’ Group.
